Flying
International flights arrive in FCO (Leonardo da Vinci Rome Fiumicino Airport) which is a 35-40 minute drive from central Rome. Local taxi’s have a fixed fare of €55. You can also take The Leonardo Express, the train gets you to the city in roughly half an hour.
Getting around
Local taxi’s are easy to track down in Rome, but you can also use apps like Uber, IT Taxi, or Free Now to book a ride.
The Rome Metro is a simple, fast underground system with three lines (A, B, C) connecting major sites like the Colosseum, Spanish Steps, and Vatican, operating roughly 5:30 AM to 11:30 PM (1:30 AM on weekends).
